We’re still buzzing from Friday night’s 2degrees Wellington Regional Business Excellence Awards, where Toast took home the People’s Choice Award. To say we’re thrilled would be an understatement - the whole team is absolutely stoked.
What made this particular award extra special is that it wasn’t decided by a judging panel. Sponsored by ANZ, the People’s Choice Award is the one category where the public has the final say. While the official vote count hasn’t been released, we’ve been told the margin was a landslide - something that left us a bit stunned and a whole lot grateful.
For us, the real win was seeing how strongly our community showed up. Our customers, our supporters, and the OGs who’ve backed us from day one turned out in force, offering some serious awhi and reminding us why we do what we do. Knowing that people believe in Toast enough to take the time to vote means more than any trophy could.
A huge shout-out as well to the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce, who hosted the event. Their work supporting and championing local businesses across the region plays a massive role in helping teams like ours grow, connect, and keep pushing forward. The Awards night was a reminder of just how vibrant and collaborative our local business community really is.
